This design was obviously inspired by the iconic Marlboro reds cigarette box. I was an incredibly committed and proud chainsmoker from age 16-22, but thankfully I’ve been nicotine-free for about 4 years. I switched between so many brands during that 6 year run, but the reds were always a favorite.
at that time in my life I was really keen on reinforcing my masculinity by any means necessary, and the reds represented an energy that gave me so much euphoria.
